Where were you born and/or raised?
I was born in Beverly Hills, Michigan outside of Detroit.

How long have you lived in Crested Butte?
6 years plus one more winter.
Why did you choose to work with people with disabilities?
I enjoy working with people with disabilities because they help make every day at my job a little bit different. No two participants are the same. I enjoy the teamwork and problem solving that takes place between participant and instructor to make successful adaptations. I feel fortunate to work with so many unique, determined individuals who traveled all the way to CB to enjoy all the sports we have to offer!  One of my favorite parts of my job is hearing that participants have gone home after their trip and continued participating in the activities learned at the ASC.  Working in the adaptive field is the perfect combination of two things I really enjoy: Working with people and being outside.
How did you come to work with the ASC? How long have you been here?
I began working at the ASC as an intern in college during the Winter of 2008-2009.  I came to the ASC because I was involved in the adaptive recreation world in Michigan and was looking to gain more outdoor experience working with people with disabilities. During my internship, I confirmed that being involved in adaptive recreation was going to be my career. I completed school and returned to the ASC as soon as possible as an instructor for 3 years.  I was the Logistics Manager for 3 years where I managed the winter and summer group trips to the ASC and I am currently in the role of Assistant Program Director.
How long have you been skiing/snowboarding?
I started skiing when I was about 6 and I learned to snowboard when I moved to Crested Butte.
What's your favorite restaurant in Crested Butte?
I am very passionate about Lil’s sushi bar, but I also really like to hang out at the Brick Oven.

What is your favorite ski resort?
Oh my gosh! Well, Crested Butte Ski Resort, of course! I also like Boyne Mountain back in Michigan. The chairlifts are cold and the runs are short!
