Where were you born and/or raised?
Born in CT, I grew up skiing in Killington VT

How long have you lived in Crested Butte?
Since 1987
Why did you choose to work with people with disabilities?
Working with people with disabilities chose me - as I have an older brother with high functioning autism.

I worked for DSUK (formally the Uphill Ski Club) teaching British students with disabilities and teaching instructor/volunteer trainings. At the height of my career, I taught a volunteer clinic at a British military base, on a dry slope at night in the rain.

I worked in Argentina teaching Argentines with disabilities, teaching instructor/volunteer trainings and helped facilitate the creation of an adaptive instructor certification program with AADIDEs (the Argentine Ski instructor association).

How did you come to work with the ASC?
My first winter in Crested Butte, I answered an ad looking for volunteers for the Physically Challenged Ski Program. I thought it would be a great way to combine my love for skiing and my life experience with people with disabilities.

How long have you been here?
Since 1987
How long have you been skiing/snowboarding?
This is my 45th ski season
