Where were you born and/or raised?
How long have you lived in Crested Butte?
I moved to Crested Butte in May 2016.
Why did you choose to work with people with disabilities?
After graduating college, I had a far out dream of combining my passion for the outdoors with helping others. I had no idea adaptive sports existed, until I moved to Alaska and began working for a community-based adaptive recreation program. It opened my eyes to endless possibilties and adaptations available for people experiencing disabilities, and I was immediately hooked. I have since met so many people who inspire me every day with new ingenious ideas, adaptations, and stories of personal challenge and hope. I am also a strong advocate for social justice and accessibility - particularly in rural environments.
