BA in Therapeutic Recreation
“Be silly, be honest, be kind." -- Ralph Waldo Emerson
Olivia grew up camping and canoeing in the Adirondacks and quickly fell in love with all things outdoors. The outdoors has always provided a therapeutic experience for her. She loves to help people in any way possible, and being able to combine those two passions brought her to the Adaptive Sports Center.

Why did you choose to work with people with disabilities?
Originally an English education major, my focus was on making a difference. I quickly realized being indoors, behind a desk everyday was not for me. I changed my major to Therapeutic Recreation and discovered my love for helping others have the same kind of adventures that make me so happy. My work with people with disabilities has helped me realized that the only limits you have are the ones you put on yourself.

I applied to intern at ASC in the summer of 2014. Loved it so much I was lucky enough to continue the internship into the winter!
