Man Biking

Nordic Skiing, or cross-country skiing, is the oldest form of skiing developed as a way of traveling over snow. This peaceful way of enjoying the backcountry is found to be therapeutic for individuals suffering from Posttraumatic Stress Disorder with its repetitive, bi-lateral motion. Crested Butte is home to miles of pristine trails right on the edge of town maintained by the Crested Butte Nordic Center. The Adaptive Sports Center collaborates with the Crested Butte Nordic Center to give our participants access to these beautiful nordic trails. Take advantage of ASC’s nordic sit-skis or snowshoes for a full or half-day lesson with an ASC Instructor. Instruction will be focused on providing you the skills to tour independently while increasing strength and balance. If you’re seeking more adventure, the Crested Butte Nordic Center also offers ski-in-ski-out yurt and hut trips for an evening stay in the backcountry.

Nordic lessons include any/all equipment and a trail pass. There is no discount for already having a trail pass.
