Volunteers Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Adaptive Sports Center! Winter 23-24 Volunteer Applications are live! The Adaptive Sports Center is always in need of reliable volunteers. Considered an essential part of the Adaptive Sports Center team, we utilize volunteers year-round based on their availability and skill level. WINTER PROGRAM VOLUNTEERS WINTER VOLUNTEERS Is volunteering with the ASC this season a good fit for you? We are looking for volunteers who are mission focused and able to be flexible with a dynamic and fast-paced environment. We know client time is most valued, so this will continue to be the main focus of volunteering. General policies and updates: Volunteer shifts are from 9:00am to 4:00pm. Volunteers receive a 45 minute lunch break between morning and afternoon sessions. Volunteers must be intermediate or advanced skiers or snowboarders. All volunteers must agree to a federal background check (every two years). Volunteers are required to attend trainings in November/December. The minimum age to volunteer with the ASC is 16. Winter Pass Volunteer: As a Winter Pass Volunteer you will team up with our instructors on the hill one day a week (+5 extra days during busy times) in exchange for a CBMR ski pass. You will demo ski drills, lift and load sit skis or act as a “ski buddy” for a family member or friend of a participant with a disability. Some participants travel from across the country to visit us, while others are full time local residents. Volunteers with a passion for the outdoors will assist people with disabilities and contribute to their amazing experience with the ASC. Applications are now open for the winter season. If you have any questions about our volunteer team please reach out to Rob Guenther at rob@adaptivesports.org for more information. Winter Pass Volunteer applications will be open through October. There will be a limited amount of pass positions. Interviews may be held.
