Bridges of the Butte Townie Tour Presented by Bank of the West

Thanks to everyone who participated in the 2021 Bridges of the Butte!

Starting with two weeks of virtual bike fun on August 29th and culminating with a live event on September 12th, the Adaptive Sports Center hosted the 17th annual Bridges of the Butte Townie Tour presented by Bank of the West. It was great to see everyone come up with their own unique adventures and then come together to ride around and around town! The money raised from Bridges of the Butte goes to support the Adaptive Sports Center’s life-changing outdoor recreation programs.

2022 Event Information will be announced closer to the event

August 29 - September 12, 2021

We are excited to announce that Bridges of the Butte will be a hybrid event this year!

Part One:
Choose Your Own Adventure!

Pursue your own goal starting on August 29th and keep your fan base apprised of your progress through your personal event page, social media and email. This flexible format empowers you to harness your love of community and the fun of bikes to support the Adaptive Sports Center.

You are invited to participate on your preferred bike (road, mountain, handcycle, trainer or townie) from wherever you are! You will also have the chance to participate in event challenges throughout the virtual event to win bragging rights and sweet schwag.

Part Two:
Live event on September 12th from Noon to 4:00pm

Then to top it all off, we come together to celebrate our accomplishments in our best costumes by riding laps around and around town! The awards ceremony will directly follow the last lap at 4:00pm!

What Will Your Adventure Be?

  • Will you ride your mountain bike on a trail starting with every letter of the alphabet? Great, ask Flint how hard this is!
  • Will you ride everyday? That's a great goal!
  • Will you ride your townie to Buena Vista? Don't forget your helmet and your best bike crew!
  • Will you ride 700 miles on your trainer? That would be amazing!

The sky is the limit!

Money raised during Bridges of the Butte Townie Tour Presented by Bank of the West supports the Adaptive Sports Center's mission of enhancing the quality of life of people with disabilities through exceptional outdoor adventure activities. Riders are encouraged to seek support of friends, family and co-workers.

Supporters can pledge per lap (i.e. $2.00 per lap), per mile (the course is 2.5 miles) or a one-time ‘flat’ pledge for completing the event.

Wondering how you can raise money for the Adaptive Sports Center?

  • By raising pledges!
  • When you register you will set up your own personal fundraising page which makes it easy for you to gather donations.
  • Use social media for good! Email your fundraising page (and post it to your Facebook) to your friends, family and coworkers explaining why you believe in the mission of the Adaptive Sports Center and enlist their support.

The Adaptive Sports Center's Bridges of the Butte Townie Tour is made possible, in part, by volunteers. We would not be able to do it without you! 16 and up are welcome to volunteer at base camp. You must be 18 to volunteer as a course marshal. More information will be available closer to the 2022 event.

If you have questions about volunteering please contact Lee Berglund at 970.349.2296 x105 or
