El Pomar Foundation The Adaptive Sports Center was one of three Colorado nonprofit organizations selected by El Pomar Foundation as 2020 Awards for Excellence recipients, joining Gold Crown Foundation and Loaves of Fishes Ministries of Fremont County. The Awards for Excellence program recognizes outstanding Colorado nonprofit organizations by presenting them with grant dollars for their impressive work supporting the people of Colorado. Since its inception in 1989, the program has provided more than $6.5 million in grant support to more than 530 nonprofit organizations throughout Colorado. Organizations are selected by a committee of community leaders, council members from El Pomar’s Regional Partnerships program and El Pomar Fellowship Alumni. Founded in 1937, El Pomar Foundation is one of the largest and oldest private foundations in Colorado. El Pomar contributes approximately $22 million annually through grants and Community Stewardship programs to support Colorado nonprofit organizations involved in health, human services, education, arts and humanities, and civic and community initiatives. The Adaptive Sports Center is thrilled to be recognized as an Awards for Excellence winner for the third time, joining awards from 2010 and 2013. Thank you, El Pomar Foundation!
