Delaware County, PA What's your favorite quote or something that you live by? “Success isn’t about how much money you make. It’s about the difference you make in people’s lives.” Michelle Obama How long have you been skiing / snowboarding? I skied as a kid on vacations in the Poconos, but I like to say that I didn’t really learn how to ski till I moved here in 2015. The icy hills of the Poconos are much different than the steep, powdery mountains of CO. How did you come to work with the Adaptive Sports Center? How long have you lived in Crested Butte? I came for an internship in 2015 and never left. Why did you choose to work with people with disabilities? I was looking for a nanny job in my early 20’s and I answered an ad in the newspaper. The job was for a young boy with Autism. I had no experience working with people with disabilities, but the parents gave me the job anyway. I spent one year working with that young man and he changed the trajectory of my life. I knew I had found my calling after that experience. I went back to school to become a Recreational Therapist and here we are today. What's your favorite thing about working at the Adaptive Sports Center? The participants!! What do you do in your free time? I love to cook, read, ride bikes, ski, travel, spend time with my family and friends. I love music and going to concerts. I also love puzzles and board games.
